چکیده

Primary tracheal tumor is a disease with low morbidity and poor prognosis. Surgical resection the main treatment. It difficult to treat tumors, while involving reconstruction operations are more complicated. We report case of patient. The large was located above carina opening left bronchus. lumen bronchus significantly narrowed. patient received thoracoscopic-assisted under general anesthesia. recovered healthy after operation without serious complications. Thoracoscopic-assisted provides flexible surgical option for treatment this disease.

Mucormycosis mimicking Tracheal Tumor: a case report

A 49-year-old woman with a history of diabetes mellitus (DM), and hypothyroidism referred to the emergency ward complaining of shortness of breath which had lasted for three weeks. Due to inspiratory and expiratory stridor in the clinical examination, a tracheal lesion was proposed for her. In computed tomography (CT) scan (without contrast) of the neck and chest, a lesion resembling a malignan...

Thoracoscopic tracheal reconstruction without surgical field intubation

A cross-filed endotracheal intubation is usually applied to maintain single lung ventilation during both open and thoracoscopic tracheal resection and reconstruction. Herein, we report a case of thoracoscopic tracheal resection and reconstruction with interrupted ventilation via transoral endotracheal intubation in a patient with thoracic tracheal adenocarcinoma. Tracheal anastomosis was accomp...

Use of Univent tube for intermittent lung isolation during thoracoscopic mediastinal tracheal resection and reconstruction

RATIONALE Primary tracheal adenoid cystic carcinoma of the trachea primary is a rare neoplasm and commonly misdiagnosed. Lung isolation during surgery and ventilation pose a tremendous challenge to anesthesiologists. PATIENT CONCERNS The authors describe a novel technique of lung isolation and ventilation with a Univent tube during thoracoscopic mediastinal tracheal resection and reconstructi...

Bronchoplastic closure as an alternative approach for tracheal reconstruction following resection of a massive tracheal tumour.

A 47-year old woman presented with large cell carcinoma with extensive lengthwise and circumferential invasion of the lower trachea. End-to-end anastomosis by suture lines alone may be impossible and even harmful, following tumour resection with such extensive tracheal involvement. Thus, we performed a successful tracheal reconstruction with bronchoplastic closure without complications or recur...

Tracheal Reconstruction for Comlex Acute Tracheal Stenosis

Tracheal stenosis refers to a reduction in the size of the tracheal lumen and can be due to a myriad of reasons, but the most common remains trauma. In iatrogenic situations, internal trauma is the most likely culprit, resulting from prolonged intubation. Our case reviews a patient who developed severe tracheal stenosis (90% reduction in lumen size) within a month of a threeday- long intubation...
